Followup to AKMA and Sessums
Dear Rev. AKMA and Ms. Sessums,
Against my better judgment (it’s always suspect)
I have purchased this book by AKMA from Amazon:
What Is Postmodern Biblical Criticism? (Guides to Biblical Scholarship New Testament Series)
by A. K. M. Adam
It sounds like it will be tough sledding.
I just wrote a charming (?) blog entry about my virtual life (explaining how I came to buy this book) then hit the wrong key and POOF, it was gone.
Fortunately (or not as the case may be) those bits are mainly stuck in my brain. I’ll reconstruct later tonight when my blood pressure subsides.
Note to self: NEVER WRITE DIRECTLY IN WORDPRESS. NEVER, EVER!.
Most likley you’ll advise that I would have been better served by purchasing your more recent work. That will come in the fullness of time. For now, I must read the published AKMA before he became the world renowned “AKMA.” It’s not unlike reading Chris Locke before he transformed into RageBoy, thence transmorgified into Chief Blogging Officer.
How cool is that?
Be well. Please and wish me well as I undertake the (for me) daunting task of understanding postmodern criticism.

p.s. My letter to you (Rev. AKMA) was flawed. I hastily thought you were someone else. I corrected my error when editing the email into a blog entry. I used a9.com (my favorite search engine) to find the word “Exegetical.” At that point I realized you are indeed called A. K. M. Adams.
This may cause my my original letter (email version, rather than corrected blog entry) to you and Ms. Sessum to be considered a collectors item, not unlike a coin minted with a flaw.
In some future time/space, one might imagine a new filed of cyber archeology Gifted graduate students will spend their summers sifting through email shards and the detritus of abandoned blogs. In Belize?
