Earth to Google “Thank you!”

Words fail me. This is nothing less than a TOTAL mind blowing example of web services. (Yes, there is a client program you must download. GET OVER IT, will ya?)

    See also NASA’s WorldWind which has a bunch of cool features (open source, choose your own map image database, can overlay with such things as historical storm data, and more): http://worldwind.arc.nasa.gov/

    I suspect that WorldWind’s re-release some months ago may have prodded Google to make the Keyhole software free. It will be interesting to see whether open source geeks building on the NASA application or the geeks at Google will add the cooler sets of new features in the coming months and years.
