Fred Wilson on Blogging 2.0
Fred Wilson, a very readable venture capitalist (who goes by A VC), posted this insightful screed about Blogging 2.0. Fascinating stuff.
For now, the economics of weblog networks look promising. But how will things change when the low cost labor that’s the heart of these enterprises wakes up and says, “I’m generating all this profit, but Jason pays me (approximately) minimum wage?”
These ultra-talented writers or “blog stringers” are super smart and oh so snarky. Until they catch the “start a business” bug they’ll remain wage serfs.
