WoW, Preparing to Play

I am not a gamer, but last week I ordered the World of Warcraft (WoW) game (created by Blizzard Entertainment). I bought a thick third-party “Strategy Guide” about WoW, installed the WoW program (all four CDs worth…) on my home PC, and signed up for a three-month WoW subscription, at $13.95 per month.

Cloudy Thinking
is about Living in the Internet, so I need to understand massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPG).

[tease] from Wikipedia
“A massively (or massive) multiplayer online role-playing game or MMORPG is a multiplayer computer role-playing game that enables thousands of players to play in an evolving virtual world at the same time over the Internet. ”

I have not started playing the WoW game. There are LOTS of decisions about my character. I’ll keep you informed.
