Blackberry vs. Laptop

“How long have you been using a Blackberry?” is my typical opening when I see someone hunched over their thumboard during my travels. That simple question usually launches an interesting conversation. Blackberry users (in general) don’t mind telling me how they love (or do NOT love) their device.

This week someone told me about the plus/minus of always having email access (it’s great that email does not pile up, but there’s no sense of down time). Then she added: “My Blackberry lets me leave my laptop at home.” I asked what she does about giving a presentation. She simply takes a CD along, and lets the client project or print the presentation.

Why didn’t I think of that?
