Gen. Honore, You Be Da Man

Yesterday the Katrina Relief Disaster turned positive. General Russel L. Honore was put in charge of the Joint Task Force.

Honore is obviously a kick ass, take charge COMPETENT leader, who immediately made a difference. He is further blessed because CNN assigned Barbara Starr, a high respected, no bullshit reporter to the General.

Honore instantly won me over when he stopped a truck of National Guard soldiers and told them to point their weapons down. “This is not Iraq” the general yelled.

He shows impatience when people don’t do what he tells them to do, such as helicopters not arriving where and when he ordered them to go.

Go read this transcript of a briefing with the general.

You go, General Honore. The nation is grateful to you and your guys.
