BizWeek Best of the Web
The Business Week list Best of the Web is darned good. In the list they point to a small number of blogs. It’s a reasonably well-considered selection. I need to check out some great sites I’ve been missing.
My advice to Business Week editors for next time:
Politics is not neutral. Do us all a favor: explicitly identify the top few Conservative, Liberal and Libertarian blogs.
How in heck did you miss World of Warcraft (WoW) in the online games category? But I’ll admit: Second Life is a cool game environment, albeit tiny compared with WoW.
You list technology as a category (good) and health (also good). Where is science?
Your list makes no mention of avian flu, easily the most serious threat to civilization as we know it. You think Katrina was bad? It will look like a joyful holiday compared with a global flu pandemic. The odds this nasty event will overtake us are not good, but nobody is paying attention.
In your search category (and thank you for listing a9.com, my favorite!), you missed blog search.
Did you avoid religion because it’s too hard to sort out? I appreciate that lacuna. But heck you could tell people about Rev. A.K.M. Adams, who’s a distinguished scholar, theologian and who happens to also be a blogger.
