Turning Point
Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald has a web site. This is a refreshing way to provide everyone equal access to documents, from the source.
Nobody knows what will come of this investigation into how the identity of a CIA agent leaked out at a crucial juncture. But in the spirit of “the system is working,” Fitzgerald has the full authority of the Attorney General of the United States. That means that the Bush administration delegated this ultra-touchy (and potentially explosive) case in a clean and unambiguous manner.
Fitzgerald is acting with the full authority of the Attorney General. That will make it tough (I think impossible) for the administration to consider a Saturday Night Massacre, as took place in the Watergate debacle.
