VMWare Player Update
I am writing this brief update from a Firefox browser instance running on Ubunto Linux running on a VMWare player installed on my Windows XP ThinkPad T42. After two (large!) downloads and a simple install, it just works.
The one error message I got was a report that some softwar eon Windows XP is evidently diddling with USB, so for now I assume USB ports are not working. But miracle of miracles, WiFi works with zero configuration.
It’s too soon to know how useable this system will be. I perceive slightly slower cursor movement, but it’s not bothering me.
This is an impressive tool.
