Nokia 770 Update
A friend writes about his Nokia 770 Internet access thingie:
I like [my Nokia 770] more every day. I wrote a custom ’skin’ for controlling my music through the slimserver application on the SqueezeBox.
The Slimserver software, which powers the squeezebox, runs on code written entirely in Perl, and it’s fully open-sourced.
I keep finding new little cool things about the 770. For all of the reviews that say that it is a rough product, there are a lot of really cool things that are already there. And with software updates coming down the pipe, it will only get better.
In a nutshell, my opinion of the 770 has only gone up since getting it. It’s not what I’d call an “essential” device, but man is it WAY cool.
