Low Lenovo Quality
My IT folks replaced my defective ThinkPad T42 keyboard today, so my “7″ key works again. While it was being replaced, I heard troubling data about the much worse quality we see with IBM ThinkPads since Lenovo took over.
defective keyboards
Defective track pads
Defective click buttons for pointer stick (my new machine arrived with this defect)
Defective motherboards
Defective LCDs
Defective hard disks
That’s a long list. I guess the ThinkPad hinges are still OK. [grin]
There have been multiple Lenovo/IBM “out of the box” failures. Other failures occur a few weeks after he ThinkPad goes into service.
If I was IBM, I’d be very unhappy about what happened to my brand.
As a genuine ThinkPad devotee, I am bummed. Let’s hope somebody from Lenovo reads this (very unlikely) and they address their SEVERE quality issues.
