Yard Sale Thoughts

Our two-day yard sale is winding down. We offloaded more than ten years of accumulated stuff. (My wife would say “junk,” but beauty is in the eye of each beholder.)

Saturday was a beautiful sunny California Central Coast day, and we had a great turnout. Today was a gloomy Easter Sunday, with occasional patches of light rain, and many fewer visitors. Even so, we kept selling. As the end approached, prices went down. A lot.

The free market works!

At end game, we are a few hundred dollars ahead, and the garage is almost empty. It’s amazing what sells. Almost everything has some value to some one, if the price is right.

Next weekend, we’ll return to Living Our Life. For now, there’s a sense of relief, and an appreciation of a much less crowded garage.
