KY Jelly: Not a Threat
From Dave Farber’s Interesting People list, we learn that KY Jelly is allowed on airlines. What a relief!

… Not only is KY Jelly ok (and mentioned by brand name even), but it is listed under the category of “essential non-prescription liquid medications.”
This begs the question: What is it that people are doing on airplanes these days that makes KY Jelly essential?
And of more practical importance, might KY Jelly be an effective substitute for some of the other banned items?
