Motorcycle Project Continues
I assume you are all breathlessly waiting to learn how my motorcycle safety class is going. Or not.
I completed the classroom training last night. Next is the practical “get on a bike and ride” part — Friday afternoon and Saturday.
I called my wife last night to proudly report my PERFECT score on the written motorcycle safety test.
She responded quietly: “That’s not the part I am worried about.”
And I said: “Yeah, it’s funny. There was not a single question about the part I know best — how to fall off a bike!”
Those of you joining us late may not be aware I recently bought a Honda Rebel 250. In my VERY limited riding around the ranch I’ve managed to dump my bike not one or two but THREE times.
All my falls were harmless. The bike has not even been scratched, and I have no injuries, except to my ego caused by all the teasing I am getting at work.
I have a full scientific explanation for each of my falls.
Now I need to see whether I can turn my theory (and book learning) into practice. My goal is to stay upright on my small, easy to handle beginners bike.
I can do this.
