Jack Bauer, 24, and DVD Vision

The best gift I received this Christmas was a boxed set of DVDs for the first season of the TV show 24. DVD Vision is my term for watching TV shows this way. It’s a big deal.

My wife and I started watching these TV episodes on DVD, and were promptly sucked in by great acting and a compelling story line.

In a bit over one week, we blasted through all episodes. There were — duh 24 shows. With ads removed, each one takes about 45 minutes. It’s hard to stop after viewing even two in a row.

This weekend we purchased season two and three at the local CostCo box box retailer.

Sunday night, the sixth season of 24 launched. Two episodes each for Sunday and Monday evening.

Here’s the amazing thing: by Wednesday you were able to purchase a DVD of the first four “Priemer” season six shows on DVD for $15.
