Advice By the Minute — Skype, BitWine and Jyve
I downloaded the latest Skype 3.1 beta and read about how we can now charge for incoming calls.
There are obvious applications, such as expert advice. It may also enable an explosion in explicit chat or live webcams for money. The mind boggles.
Focusing on the “advice for pay” application, there are alternatives — Jyve and BitWine.
These services offer live, interactive advice and problem solving, with payment via PayPal, in contrast to the “ask a question, pay for an answer” model of Uclue or Yahoo! Answers.
Update: Josh Lowensohn writes about the Skype Prime service mentioned above. He also mentions two similar services: Ether and Wengo.
My gut says this could become a Big Deal. What do you think?
