Nintendo Wii Becoming Less Scarce
The Target store in Santa Maria, CA had ten Nintindo Wii games available Saturday, June 9, 2007. Yes, I bought one. No waiting list, no nothing.
It’s possible that Target overestimated demand at that location. An alternative explanation: Nintendo is allowing more Wii product to flow into the retail channel.
Can lower Wii prices be far behind? If their factory is catching up. Nintendo needs to keep the pressure on Sony and Microsoft.
The Wii needs to hit $199 street price by the 2007 holiday selling season. [corrected date on June 16, 2007. Originally was "2006"]
[update June 16, 2007]
If Sony PS3 price goes to $199 this holiday season (as rumer mill suggests), Wii must hit $149. The cools thing is they can afford it. Easily.
