TwinBell — Mobile phone with two active SIM cards

BellPepper is developing TwinBell, a GSM Mobile phone with two active SIM cards.

[tease]

TwinBell is a UMTS mobile phone, with two HF units operating independently. Two SIM-cards can therefore be active at the same time.

The user can be registered with two telephone networks simultaneously or only activate one SIM-card which he intends to use to be reachable. When making a call the user can choose between two different call buttons to select which SIM-card the call should be charged to.

This offers the following advantages:

Combination of Business and Private Phone in one Device

This function allows the user to simply separate the availability, invoicing and the identification of incoming calls of the two sim-cards.

Savings with International-Roaming

With frequent stays abroad, the use of a local sim-card or a so-called “global sim-card” with free inbound-roaming saves a lot of money. Now you no longer have to switch sim-cards when staying abroad.

Tariff Arbitrage

The combining of the advantages of the different rates is now much easier. The greatest savings potential lies in the large price differences of on- and off-net calls.
