Windows XP on Virtualbox, running on Ubuntu
I am writing this blog post using Microsoft Internet Explorer on Windows XP. Big deal, right? Keep reading.
The rest of the story is that Windows XP is a “guest” operating system runing on (under?) the free Virtualbox system, which in turn runs on Ubuntu Linux.
This hardware platform is modest: an HP Pavilion a305w purchased at Wal-Mart three years ago, with a 2.7 MhZ Celeron and 1 GB of memory.
Pretty cool.
