Tim Walker: Fewer meetings should lead to more “Flow”

Tim Walker writes about the need for interruption-free time, and suggests that the plethora of meetings in a normal business day is not productive.

Tim Walker takes his inspiration from the book Flow, by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi.

Note to self: 1) Order Flow on Amazon. 2) Enforce some quiet time daily in my routine. I think that means turn off my email, browser, instant messaging, Twitter and my mobile phone.

This discipline sounds EXACTLY like self-imposed solitary confinement.

Great things better come from this draconian restriction of my inquisitive self.
