OpenProj — free, open source alternative to Microsoft Project

OpenProj is a free, open source desktop alternative to Microsoft Project. It can share files with Microsoft Project.

OpenProj functionality is similar to MS Project (Gantt, PERT diagram, histogram, charts, reports, detailed usage), and also has tree views which are NOT in MS Project.

    I tried OpenProj last night. It has a few bugs that need to be worked out, but could become a useful tool with some clean-up effort.

    OpenProj is awesome!!!!!!! I cannot stress enough how long I have looked for an alternative to Microsoft Project. I did not find it until now. Thank you for the note, I opened all my Microsoft Project files and will not turn back. I did not find any problems at all and have installed OpenProj on my Linux and Windows machines. Great job and keep these notices of solutions.
