Radical thinking needed if the USA wants to survive.
A friend who’s very knowledgeable about business and finance writes:”It turns out that oil has made our whole economy worthless. The Fed calculates the net worth of the US at $56 trillion (assets minus liabilities for all US households). At $140/barrel, the oil reserves of Saudi Arabia and Iran are equal to $56 trillion. They could buy us for the rest of their oil.

It is time for radical thinking if the US wants to survive.
1) A serious effort at finding a new way to produce energy is more important than anything our government is doing right now, other than education.
2) We could keep Iraq, take over Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the UAE then blow away Iran and Venezuela.
3) We could also quit buying so much useless crap from overseas. All of those flat panel displays, gameboys and cell phones are turning our kids minds to mush, wasting money we really don’t have and providing a lot of waste. How much money do we waste by buying a new foreign car every three years?
