Michael Sippey on the ultimate “first world problem”

Michael Sippey writes about a “first world problem” (defined below) against which all other first world problems must be judged.

The Urban Dictionary defines the term “first world problem” thusly:

Problems from living in a wealthy, industrialized nation that third worlders would probably roll their eyes at. e.g,

Aw, crap, I don’t know which 1 carat diamond encrusted platinum ring to buy!

Sippey writes, (emphasis added):

Matt (as in “where the hell is”) Harding had to book two zero-gravity plane flights to film a snippet for his ongoing project because on the first one his hard drive-based camcorder failed.

It just doesn’t get any more “first world” than that.
